Installation
Portal is a material study on plastics and the potential of reflection, color and transparency. Sited at the Loria Entrance lobby, the installation mimics the texture of Rudolph Hall’s characteristic wall, which remained unchiseled due to the removal of an adjoining building during the renovation. The intervention creates a new interaction of light in the space as well as increased human interaction with the iconic wallspace of the building through reflection.
